Colorado has plenty of ABA providers serving children with autism. So if Kind Care ABA were simply another provider offering the same model, we’d tell you to keep scrolling.
But that’s not why we’re here.
Kind Care was built after listening to what families felt was missing — and we intend to keep listening.
Through our Fix ABA Campaign, we created a place where parents and families who have experienced ABA can share their stories — the good, the bad, and the ugly. Families can visit us online to tell us what worked, what didn’t, and what they wish had been done differently.
But listening online is only one part of it.
Another way Kind Care identifies the needs and gaps within the autism community is through our free Autism Awareness community events, which we host throughout the year. These events give families an opportunity to have fun together, connect with resources, meet other families, and—just as importantly—give us an opportunity to listen.
We’re coming off an incredible community event at Bounce Empire, where close to 100 attendees enjoyed a free day of fun while also connecting with resources from Kind Care and other local organizations. Our team, led by Brittney, our Outreach Director, spends these events talking with families and listening closely to what they need, what resources they’re struggling to find, and what they wish existed within their community.
For us, these aren’t just events. They’re another way we learn what families actually need.
Between the experiences shared through Fix ABA, conversations at our community events, and feedback from professionals who have spent years working within the autism community, we began identifying some consistent gaps. Families can visit FixABA.com to share their own experiences — what worked, what didn’t, and what they wish had been done differently.
Families wanted care that felt less rigid and more individualized. They wanted providers to understand the family, not just the diagnosis. They wanted stronger connections to their communities, easier access to resources outside of ABA, and a model that could adapt to their lives rather than expecting their lives to adapt to a program.
Those are the gaps Kind Care ABA is being built to fill.
ABA Is Our Foundation, Not Our Limitation
We believe in ABA and the incredible impact it has had for thousands of children and families. It can help children develop meaningful communication, behavioral, independence, and everyday life skills.
We also believe there is always room for ABA to evolve.
At Kind Care, ABA is the clinical foundation of our services, but our care plans stretch beyond one rigid methodology. Every child has their own dedicated therapist, clinical oversight from a BCBA, and each center has a dedicated on-site director to help ensure organization, consistency, and efficiency. We look at the whole picture — the child, their history, strengths, environment, family, needs, and goals.
Our philosophy is simple: we want to tailor the model around the family instead of asking the family to fit into the model.
Community Is Part of the Care Plan
That philosophy is exactly why we chose our three Colorado locations.
Our Denver Northwest/Broomfield and Colorado Springs centers are located within We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym, while our Aurora center is alongside the Autism Community Store.

These aren’t simply spaces where we happened to open centers. They are established communities that have spent years welcoming, supporting, and learning from children with autism and their families.
We want the experience, feedback, staff, and existing relationships within these communities to help us continue learning and improving our model.
Kind Care also provides in-home ABA throughout Colorado and accepts most insurance plans, including Medicaid.
Because Families Need More Than ABA
Another gap we identified was how difficult it can be for families to find and coordinate all the other support they may need.
Kind Care is building a broader resource network for autism families, helping connect families with mental health services, speech therapy, occupational therapy, peer support, and other resources.
We’re also partnering with local educators and autism professionals to develop biweekly Kind Care family support groups, both virtually and in person. These will give families a place to connect with one another, hear from specialists, access resources, enjoy activities, and simply spend time with people who understand.
